Electric reactors for air conditioner

1、 Introduction

Reactors, also known as inductors, generate a magnetic field within a certain range of space occupied by a conductor when energized, so all electrical conductors that can carry current have a general sense of inductance. However, the inductance of a long and straight conductor is relatively small, and the magnetic field generated is not strong. Therefore, the actual reactor is a wire wound in the form of a solenoid, known as a hollow reactor; Sometimes, in order to make this solenoid have a greater inductance, an iron core is inserted into the solenoid, called an iron core reactor. Reactance is divided into inductive reactance and capacitive reactance, which are scientifically classified as inductors (inductors) and capacitors (capacitors) collectively referred to as reactors. However, due to the existence of inductors in the past and being referred to as reactors, what people now refer to as capacitors is capacitive reactance, and reactors specifically refer to inductors.

2、 Main functions

(1). Capacitance effect on lightly unloaded or lightly loaded lines to reduce power frequency transient overvoltage;

(2). Improving voltage distribution on long transmission lines;

(3). To balance the reactive power in the line as much as possible on site during light loads, to prevent unreasonable flow of reactive power and also reduce power loss on the line;

(4). When the large unit is in parallel with the system, reduce the power frequency steady-state voltage on the high-voltage bus to facilitate synchronous parallel connection of the generator;

(5). Prevent self excitation resonance phenomenon that may occur when the generator is equipped with long lines;
